October?!?

Where has the year gone???

Last weeks visit with Ama was fun, fun, fun, and now it is back to normal in the Meissler household. The kids really enjoyed showing Ama how to make our favorite Kool-Aid playdoh, and had the fabulous idea of sharing the recipe with all of you! They also had a great time getting ideas for the Fall Festival our neighborhood hosts for the residents of Hidden Forest (and neighboring communities).

Yesterday the girls were busy crafting....pom-pom pets, felt banners and stenciled note-cards. The next few weeks promise to be full as they prepare to sell their creations, and mom and dad are planning to sell pop and popcorn balls for a REASONABLE cost (last year people were charging $1 for 1 can - ridiculous!).

We've had a few more changes to our schedule....Natalie advanced up 2 levels in diving, going from beginning diving to Team level 3. She is SO excited, especially since she got to dive head first off the high dive (yikes!). Ella begins her horseback riding tomorrow, and lets us know how excited she is about THAT every hour :-). The girls are both a little disenchanted with the music selection in the youth choir, and have elected to stop and just study handbells. Thus far, they are 2 of the 3 members of the handbell group, as it has yet to catch on at it's current date and time. We'll see what becomes of this as the months progress!

It appears that Ginger has run away. After all the monies we poured into heartworm treatment, the ****dog will always be a mutt from the streets. We took a gamble and didn't tether her in the yard, in the hopes that she was finally contented with us and felt we were her family. The worse part about it all is that we didn't notice until that night....making us crummy owners! We'll see if she shows up again....but we aren't holding our breath.

Here's hoping ya'll are having a good week....
