Tis the Season...

Today is Monday.... our 'first round' of Christmas schedule obligation is under our belt, and round two begins as Friday is Christmas Eve, Saturday Christmas Day, & Sunday Church Day.

We are, and will continue to be, BUSY,BUSY,BUSY!

We've been running since 2 weeks before Reformation in preparation for this busy season. It is the same every year, and every year is hard. Church work IS work! So much more goes into the season than most people realize, even the avid church goer. By our measure, we are still only half way through our busy-ness, with this week being crunch time.

With Craig working 2 jobs that 'peak' at the same time, it never fails to amaze me how many hours he/we can squeeze out of 24! This year is doubly challenging as his school schedule throws in a new wrench. For my part, maintaining the home (in & out), the school (yes, we continue to school through this time so that we can take more leisure days in the spring), and the day-to-day grind (dr. appts/bills/gifts/cards/schedules) is enough w/o making blogging a 'chore' to add to the list. I am now able to drive again, which helps, but I do need to ice my heel down after every jaunt as it isn't (and probably never will be) the same.

I am not complaining, I am just tired of answering why the blog has been blank! So for those of you who have been asking....don't take this the wrong way or anything... but please STOP asking!

One last update: Claire has a wheat allergy (to add to her lactose allergy), but does NOT have the auto-immune disorder known as Celiac disease. We are grateful for the diagnosis, but it still makes life a little more challenging finding food everyone can enjoy without making us retch or Claire sick. It is a LOT of trial and error, but worth it, as we don't want her to feel like a weirdo by giving her a separate meal at every meal time:-).

This is our reality.

In the meantime....Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
