Halloween snuck up on us this year....I'm pretty sure it had a LOT to do with it falling on a Wednesday, in addition to our getting used to our 'new pace'...still, we were able to find pumpkins in time to carve them, and made do with costumes from our dress up box. We had help with dinner in that a local pizzeria had offered a special Jack-O-Lantern pizza, and our enthusiastic crew made the evening a blast! So, here are some pics from our All Hallows Eve...Enjoy!!

We had...an Undead, Spurned Love from the Victorian Era...Effie Trinket of Hunger Games fame...The Indian Squaw named 'She Who Climbs Trees'...A Special Ops Officer for the US Army...and a Gymnast Kitty :). This was the first year we did NOT have a wagon to pull or a stroller to push!!
After all that hard work, the kids traded their spoils while watching Charlie Brown's 'Great Pumpkin', and partaking in a small helping of Butterbeer (a Harry Potter favorite consisting of Butterscotch syrup and Cream Soda) and Boo Cake, a Meissler family staple at Halloween. Despite all the sweet treats, exhaustion prevailed, and everyone was off to bed at a (fairly) reasonable hour. All in all, it was a great time, with lots of new memories made!
And now for some comforting words to sleep by...
