Last Week/This Week

Last week was a highly anticipated week for our family, as it is the week The Avengers was released on DVD...we now live our 'action' moments in life to the theme song, and can be found discussing various aspects about the lives of these heroes (and a little about their background courtesy of the Fandex Field Guide to Marvel Superheroes) numerous times during the day. I'm loving this:)

This past weekend, Ella & I headed up to Austin to participate in the Young Adults Book Festival, where she had the opportunity to hear directly from some of her favorite authors about the inspiration behind their work, and about the industry of writing. She also had a marvelous time talking to the authors at length during the signing time, and it was a special, special weekend for both of us!  Meanwhile at home, Dad had the troops at the park, where they came across a bunch of wild turkeys, and he even ventured to a restaurant with all 4 of them ALONE...very impressive indeed!  They enjoyed their Daddy time...

This week Ella has an extra volunteer stint at the Parman library for National Nite Out, Natalie is preparing for her violin chair test to take place next Sunday, and the rest of us (minus Dad) look forward to a visit to Sea World San Antonio for the annual homeschool day! Starting next weekend, Ella resumes her Girl Scout meetings (and service hours next Sunday), and Claire begins her Girl Scout journey....a senior and a daisy! Natalie & Grace are trying to decide if they want to begin a Juliette troop (homestudy scouts) or just stick with their music and art obligations. David is content with his 'Batterites' and speech therapy...when he wants more, we'll check into it!

I'll try to upload new pics this week, and will be updating again after our next busy weekend...

Love Much,

The Meissler 7
