Rain, Ice & SNOW in South Texas!!!!!

Well folks, there was LOTS of excitement here yesterday morning. The Meissler kiddos went to sleep the night before to the sound of a pretty loud ice storm, and throughout the evening the weather alternated rain and ice until finally dropping a wee bit o' snow. The sight of what was left of it sent them all outside to scrape what they could into snowballs for - you guessed it - a snowball fight!

We had just enough snow to form one (extremely small) snowball per child....perfect!

The cutest thing about the flurry (pun intended) of excitement was hearing from everyone but Ella how it was just TOO COLD out (34 degrees, if you're curious), and hearing Claire protest with a shivery-NO whenever I asked her to come over for the pics you see today. She kept looking at everyone like they were nuts, and ran inside every chance she got....NATIVE!

We jut wanted to share our little taste of winter with you.....Gracie thinks we should have posted our snowball fight, however short it was, on YouTube :-) and I instantly felt old, marvelling about how different their childhood is from mine!

Here's hoping you're all keeping warm....

I am with Claire! That picture of her "not enjoying" the cold weather sums up *exactly* how I feel about winter. Ha ha. All of your kids are absolutely adorable, as always. Thanks for sharing your snowy tale and awesome flurry pun with us, my dear cousin. :) xoxo.
