Time

I can't believe Christmas is almost here! Maybe it's the weariness of hearing Christmas songs starting Nov 01, and seeing displays since before Halloween. Maybe it's the 'fog' I've been living in between colds and flus. There is a plus to everyone getting sick at different times, but night vigils times 5 take a toll after week one. (For the record, it took 2 weeks for everyone to get everything and restored back to health!)

Thanksgiving was BEAUTIFUL with just-right weather (despite the grim forecast) and lots of yummy food - including FRIED turkey, our new favorite! It was great seeing all the family and the kids can hardly wait to see everyone again:-). Craig was busy hanging lights up the weekend following and our house looks awesome! He is in the heart of his busy season (although it is starting to feel like the busy season runs from Sept - July!) and loving every minute of what he does.

Here's the update according to the kiddos:

Ella - Big news...I lost my tooth and just recovered from the stomach flu! It's been cold and busy here. I have been busy with Girl Scouts (cookie sales start Jan 01) midweek Advent services Handbells & choir, cello & horseback (my horseback riding instructor took away my stirrups!) I have Christmas concerts on the 17th and 20th. All for now, Ella

Natalie - I'm not diving this month...I'm kind of glad not to be in the water when it's so cold! I am helping mom with making meals now, lunch mostly. I think we are learning a new song at handbells today. I am happy our Christmas concerts are coming up soon!

Grace - I am feeling better now. I am so excited about Christmas!

David - Ramen is my favorite food. And pancakes. I broke my Buzz Lightyear.

Claire - Developmentally, she is learning about 20 new words a day. David is especially thrilled about this and 'teaches' her by telling her the names of EVERYTHING, especially when 'reading'. Claire copies (to the best of her ability) and claps and laughs when David praises her and exclaims to everyone 'Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? (what) Claire just said ___.'.
