Full Schedule - Day 4

Today, Grace had her first art class...she was so excited, (and a little nervous!), but had a fabulous time and really enjoyed her activity with her instructor. She was the first to start and the last to finish...her instructor was really impressed by her attention to detail, stating that the other children in her class were more about who could finish first. Grace has always shown a propensity to art, and it was good to see her in her element, and that her gift was so easily identified by her 'out-of-home' teacher!

After her class, we were able to stop home for a quick lunch and then we were off for Nat's violin lesson. Natalie is progressing quite nicely on Hunter's Chorus in her Suzuki 2 book. Last week was about reading the notes, this week is about bowing.

We finished up schoolwork (another 'burst' day of schooling) and straightened up the house before I headed out for choir while Ella & Natalie manned the home front.

Craig & I treated ourselves to a date night after choir, and it was really great to have the time to reconnect after a stress filled week. Yes, he could have been finishing up some school assignments, I could have been grading papers or doing laundry (sadly, there is still more), but what we decided on impulse was the one thing we both needed most. It is something we enjoyed so much we are planning to make Thursday our 'update' night, so that we can stay connected during the work week and in between normal date nights, (which usually happen once a month, twice if we're lucky!).

We returned home to a somewhat clean (but most definitely NOT trashed!) house, and the kiddos all ready for cuddles, kisses and bed.

It was a busy day, but a good day.
