Unicorns ARE Real!

We found them through our pre-algebra w/ biology, in Deuteronomy 33:17 (KJV).

Life has been hectic (as always), just in a different way.

Craig was out of commission for just over a week with fever as a result of a bad sinus infection and bronchitis. He pretty much slept the whole time, and was trying to complete his final in the rare moments he was awake. Craig is finally feeling better, but still has a small case of laryngitis and a lingering cough....and yes, he did get his final in on time! He has a weeks 'rest' (which really isn't rest as there are a number of work related music competitions and festivals that are absorbing that 'free' time) and then on to his next semester. Craziness!

My surgery has finally been rescheduled for next Friday...yea! I'll be glad to have it done so I can focus on building up my iron level, and then do away with my blood pressure issue and (hopefully) off my medication. Time will tell.

Girl Scout Cookie Season is finally in the home stretch...we have one more weekend of booth sales and then will finally have our weekends free again! Ella has met her goal of 500 boxes, and so she will now have 'cookie credits' to devote her time to programs through Girl Scouts that interest her. She gets to student pilot (translate co-pilot) a small plane next month thanks to our fabulous scout council, and will be earning 2 IP badges to boot! This weekend also involves World Thinking Day thru scouts (their country is England), and has a fund raiser for her choir tour. That's a whole-lotta-busy for just one child!

David and Grace are in heaven with her art class resuming this week and his t-ball practices beginning. Natalie is working hard at her violin, especially scales, as she works toward her symphony audition. Claire is along for the ride, and has become quite studious during the book portion of our schooling, accurately completing her worksheets and wowing us all :-). She is even breaking out of her shyness, though just a wee little bit.

That's all for now...we're looking for unicorns!
