Thanksgiving 2011

This year for Thanksgiving we were blessed to spend time with the Arizona contingent of the family. We had a FABULOUS time together, though it flew by...since it's so late, (and my exhaustion is catching up with me), I'll give you a brief summary of some of the highlights of our visit together.

  • we had chamber of commerce weather and were able to dine outside

  • the food rocked and we went through 3 turkeys - fried, smoked & roasted

  • there really weren't any leftovers (really!)

  • we enjoyed kickball after dinner

  • we broke out the accordion

  • Justin took a puff of a cigar

  • everyone did what we always do...picked up where we left off:-)

While not celebrating Thanksgiving we:

  • were tourists, ingested Texas BBQ and had a blast in Gruene

  • got to see Katie at her place of employment - a MUST DINE restaurant called the gristmill (and yes, it is in all lowercase, that is NOT a typo!)

  • exposed the fam to mexican food that was NOT sonoran (aka AZ) style - our favorite, ChaCho's

  • laughed and cried...

Distance Stinks!

I/we hope ya'll had a fabulous Thanksgiving, too, and I'll try to post more when I can keep my eyes open!

Love Much,

The Meissler 7
