I was trying to think of a title and all I could think of was everything I have to cover since May 10th...the date of my last entry! Please forgive the disjointedness of this blog; there is simply too much to cover in any logical sense.
Ella, Natalie and Grace did a FABULOUS job at the science fair! Ella researched ants, Natalie demonstrated seeing sound and Grace made PlayDoh. For all the moaning and work that goes into their presentations, it is fun to hear them chime in "I'm going to do (blank) for my presentation next year!"
Our road trip to Arizona was uneventful...the inevitable question of 'are we there yet' became 'are we out of Texas yet?' as the interstate loomed ever longer the further we drove. We had a wonderful time with family once we DID arrive, and I'd love to share pictures with you, but I broke our camera the day of my baby sister's wedding! I'll try to share some as they are forwarded to me...
My sister was a GORGEOUS bride, and was blessed with rain on her wedding day (lots of babies!). The wedding was postponed an hour so that she could still marry outdoors, in a beautiful courtyard in Sedona. Thankfully, the reception was moved indoors, as the evening proved to be cold and windy....wholly unexpected when attending a wedding in Arizona during the summertime! Grace and her cousin Elise were flower girls, and David was the ring bearer. I was SO PROUD of my kiddos....they did great!
We ended the visit with a memorable evening of swimming and baby-back ribs with the Meissler clan, and had to explain what exactly 'baby-back' meant when referencing ribs....interesting, to say the least!
So now we are back home, doing laundry, enjoying the pool and generally getting back in the groove of things...although it took a full week for everyone to adjust to the time change...
Finally, Shiner (who now weighs 34 pounds), was fixed & microchipped yesterday. He also had his nails trimmed, and can pick up his own satellite signal. He is NOT happy, to say the least:-)
So here's to being back home!
